Gardaí release three held in relation to Limerick murder

Gardaí in Limerick have released an elderly couple and a man in his 20s who were being questioned in connection with the latest murder in the city earlier this week.

The young man was arrested shortly after 25-year-old Gareth Grant was shot dead near his home in St Mary's Park on Monday night.

The couple, aged in their 70s and 80s, were detained in the area the following night.

All three were released from custody last night pending instructions from the DPP.
