One of Ireland's largest county councils has decided not to allow circuses which use wild animals as part of their acts.

One of Ireland's largest county councils has decided not to allow circuses which use wild animals as part of their acts.

Fingal County Council in north Dublin is the first local authority to impose such restrictions.

Its community strategic policy committee must now decide how best to implement the decision.
