Ombudsman gives Register Office stinging rebuke

The State office that registers all births, deaths, marriages and adoptions today got a stinging rebuke from the Ombudsman.

Emily O’Reilly called on the General Register Officer (GRO) to review its procedures after receiving a number of complaints from the public.
