Man dies from injuries after Finglas factory explosion

One of the men caught up in this week's explosion in north Dublin has died in hospital.

The man, 23-year-old Stephen O'Brien from Rathmullen road in Drogheda, died in the Mater Hospital overnight.

He sustained critical injuries following the explosion at the Dunhills confectionary plant in Finglas on Thursday morning.

The Health and Safety Authority and the Gardai are investigating the incident.

A second man remains in hospital.
