Dublin gardaí seek man in relation to attempted robbery

Gardaí searched the area of South Richmond St Dublin early this morning for a man who was seen entering a convenience store with a shotgun down the front of his trousers, and is believed to have attempted a robbery.

Gardaí were called to the Spar store on South Richmond Street at approximately 3.15am.

The man, described as being aged around 26, of stocky build, rough Dublin accent, wearing blue jeans, and a striped jumper made off in the direction of Rathmines Road.

Several Garda units searched the area, but the man has not been not located.

CCTV footage of the incident was reviewed, but it is not known if the Gardaí know the person involved or not.
