Gardaí investigate cause of warehouse fire in Cork

Gardaí in Cork are investigating the cause of a major fire that caused extensive damage to a warehouse in the Little Island area of the city last night.

The fire broke out sometime before 7.30pm at the Protim Abrasives plant in the Euro Business Park.

Nine units of the fire brigade attended the scene at the height of the blaze, which completely gutted a warehouse belonging to the company.

The building was unoccupied, and there were no injuries.
