€20m grant for marine research

The Govt has unveiled a €20m grant for the marine sector in Ireland.

The grant will go towards funding a range of new research projects, along with creating a team of scientists who will address the sustainable development of Ireland's fishing industry.

Minister for Natural Resources, Eamon Ryan, said the funding would help Ireland become a world-class player in marine science.
