Galway crash victim named

Gardaí have named the woman who was killed in a road accident in Galway on Tuesday.

She was 66-year-old Eileen O'Halloran from Summerfield in Cahergowan.

The pedestrian was hit by a passing car on the N17 Galway to Sligo.

Meanwhile in County Derry, a man in his fifties has died in a three car pile-up.

It happened on the Edenbane Road near Garvagh just before 11pm last night.

Three others were injured in the crash and are being treated in hospital.
