Live mine discovered off Cork coast

Navy divers and the army bomb disposal unit are carrying out a controlled explosion of a sea mine found off the coast of West Cork.

The live device, which dates back to World War Two and was designed to take out submarines, was discovered this morning by a local fishing vessel.
