Investigations underway into near drowning of toddler
Three separate inquiries are underway into how a toddler almost drowned in a Dublin park while in the care of a HSE-funded nursery.
Twenty-month-old Sean Ross McGowan was among a group of children who were taken to Ranelagh Park on Tuesday by staff from the Miss Carr's Children's Home.
He was spotted floating in a pond by a GP who happened to be passing by and remains critically ill in hospital today.
The creche service at Miss Carr's has been suspended pending the outcome of investigations being carried out by the HSE, the Gardaí and the nursery itself.
