Gardaí investigate after body found in garden

Gardaí are today investigating the discovery of the body of a 47-year-old man in the garden of a house.

Gardaí are today investigating the discovery of the body of a 47-year-old man in the garden of a house.

The find was made at a property in Ballinlough, Roscommon, at around 9am yesterday and officers later arrested a man who was being quizzed last night by detectives at Roscommon Garda Station.

A post-mortem examination on the dead man was carried out last night by state pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy, the results of which have not yet been released.

The area where the body was found was cordoned off by officers and examined by members of the Garda Technical Bureau.
