Three men arrested after Gardaí foil raid on Securicor van

Three men have been arrested after Gardai foiled an armed raid in south Co. Dublin this afternoon.

A Securicor van was in the process of making a delivery to an ATM machine in the Sandyford Business Park when three men, travelling in a white van, tried to rob it.

They were arrested at the scene under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act.

The men, aged 27, 32 and 33, were taken to Blackrock, Dun Laoghaire and Dundrum Garda Stations.

One firearm was recovered at the scene, however no shots were fired.
