Aer Lingus to enter talks with pilots in bid to resolve row
Aer Lingus is prepared to enter into talks with the main pilots union at the Labour Relations Commission in a bid to resolve the ongoing row at the company.
A statement was released this afternoon saying the company is available for discussions, and would welcome an urgent start and conclusion to the process.
The Irish Airline Pilots' Association earlier offered to call off its planned 48-hour stoppage if negotiations with the company begin.
The row centres on pay and conditions for pilots at the new Belfast base.
