Galway body believed to be missing Tipperary woman

The woman whose body was retrieved from the water near the new Oranmore garda station this afternoon has not yet been formally identified.

The woman whose body was retrieved from the water near the new Oranmore garda station this afternoon is thought to be missing Tipperary native Bridget Hickey.

The woman's body was seen in the water at around 2.30pm and the Gardaí and Lifeboat rescue services were alerted.
