An Aer Lingus flight from Spain to Ireland was grounded today following a bomb threat.

An Aer Lingus flight from Spain to Ireland was grounded today following a bomb threat.

Enda Corneille, the airline’s commercial director, said local police in Malaga were alerted at around 12.30pm and boarded the plane.

All 303 passengers and 10 crew were taken off and the jet, an Airbus A330, was towed to a secure area of the airport where it is being searched.

The flight was due to take off for Dublin at 1.45pm.
