PSNI vetting backlog 'jeopardising jobs' in the North

A security vetting backlog is threatening appointments to education and health jobs in the North, a public representative claimed today.

With providers of care for vulnerable adults undergoing PSNI checks for the first time and a flood of people applying for education posts, policing board member Basil McCrea said the police were struggling to cope.
