Irish embassies abroad are bracing themselves for a heavy workload as thousands of Leaving Certificate exam students hit foreign beaches and nightclubs, the Government said tonight.

With exam results due on Wednesday, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern advised students to take out travel insurance to protect their belongings as they fly out to overseas destinations.
