Groups demand meeting with Gov over Aer Lingus
Politicians, business leaders, tourism chiefs and unions in the mid-west have said they want a meeting with the Government over the Aer Lingus' decision to axe its Shannon to Heathrow route.
The decision was taken at a meeting in Ennis this afternoon where the mood was described as 'angry'.
County Clare's mayor Patricia McCarthy said retaining the Heathrow slots is a priority and that the group will support any legal challenge taken against the airline.
She said that they want an urgent meeting with Transport Minister Noel Dempsey.
