Gardaí investigating gun attack seize ammo

Ammunition has been seized by gardaí investigating reports of a shooting in Limerick.

Officers at Roxboro Road station received unconfirmed reports of a gun attack in the O’Malley Park area this afternoon.

It is understood that at around 3pm, shots were fired by the occupants of one car towards another car.

“Gardai units responded and conducted searches of the area but there was no sign of the vehicles involved,” said a garda spokesman.

“In a follow up search at a house in the area a small quantity of ammunition was seized.

“No arrests have been made so far and garda investigations are ongoing.”
