Aer Lingus chief executive Dermot Mannion was jeered and heckled this morning at a meeting to discuss the airline's plans to end its services between Shannon and Heathrow.

Aer Lingus chief executive Dermot Mannion was jeered and heckled this morning at a meeting to discuss the airline's plans to end its services between Shannon and Heathrow.

Mr Mannion was briefing staff at the airport about the move, which is expected to lead to up to 50 job losses.
