Coughlan: Ireland to remain on high foot-and-mouth alert

Minister for Agriculture Mary Coughlan has said the ban on the importation of cattle, fresh meat and un-pasteurised milk from the UK will remain in place.

The order follows a high level foot-and-mouth disease briefing Coughlan received from senior agriculture officials this morning.
