Crew of detained cargo ship to return to Russia today
The Russian crew of a ship that has been stranded in Co Wexford since May are due to fly home today.
The MV Lillian was detained by inspectors more than two months ago after it was found to be unsafe.
It later emerged that the nine-man crew hadn't been paid since April.
They have been living on board the ship in New Ross for the past three months, but are finally due to return home to Russia today.
The High Court has ordered that the vessel be auctioned and the International Transport Federation is vowing to ensure that crew are paid all outstanding wages.
