Tribunal rejects 'offensive' claims by Ahern’s barrister

The Mahon Tribunal has described accusations that it has an agenda against the Taoiseach as "offensive" and "disgraceful".

There were sharp exchanges this morning when Bertie Ahern's barrister complained that the tribunal was trying to create an air of mystery surrounding the Taoiseach's finances and putting loaded questions to AIB officials.
