Doctors blamed for woman's death amid IVF treatment
The family of the late Jacqui Rushton say consultants at the Rotunda hospital are to blame for her death.
The 32-year-old died when problems arose with IVF treatment that she was undergoing at the hospital.
An independent report on the case has concluded that there were problems with the management of her care and that there was a lack of senior control and overall accountability for her care.
It recommends regular care audits and a review of in-house protocol in all general hospitals and IVF clinics.
Ms Rushton's mother, Angela Hickey, said today that she hoped these recommendations would prevent another family going through the ordeal that she has experienced.
