The 21-year-old was arrested yesterday evening in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.

The PSNI officer was shot following loyalist disturbances in Carrickfergus that are believed to be linked to a dispute involving a dissident faction of the UDA.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
