Barnardos seeks more childcare for disadvantaged children

The children's charity Barnardos is calling for greater provision of early childcare for disadvantaged children to help improve their development throughout life.

The organisation says a survey of 5,000 children at its family support centres found that more than 90% had needs relating to family and relationships with others.
