Four still in hospital after Cork city bus crash

Four people remain in hospital this morning following a bus crash in Cork city last night.

More than 40 people were taken to hospital after the accident on Wellington Road at around 8pm.

However, most only suffered minor injuries and have since been discharged.

The private bus was carrying a group of women aged between 50 and 80 years when it went out of control and collided with a number of cars.

Those injured in the crash include former Progressive Democrats TD and Cork city councillor Mairin Quill.

More than 30 emergency workers were involved in the rescue operation.
