Watchdog wants parties to disclose donations
Political parties should publish annual corporate-style accounts to show how much they receive in private donations, the state’s standards watchdog said today.
In a bold move, the Standards in Public Office Commission (Sipo) called for an “urgent review” on how the funding is monitored because parties are bypassing the current rules.
