Irish in US await immigration reform vote

The US Senate is due to hold a vote later today to decide whether to revive a proposed bill to legalise millions of undocumented immigrants.

The legislation, which would benefit up to 50,000 Irish citizens living illegally in the States, was blocked by conservative opponents a number of weeks ago.
