The Revenue Commissioners has published tax settlements totalling more than €34m for the first three months of the year.

The largest amount repaid was by Dublin property developers Heritage Properties Ltd which under-declared taxes of more than €2m.

A hundred and fifty settlements are contained in the latest tax defaulters list totalling €34.3m.

Heritage Properties Ltd of Balgriffin in North Dublin was found not to have declared €2m in VAT and eventually had to repay Revenue €3.5m altogether including penalties and interest.

The next biggest defaulters are Howley Civil engineering Ltd of New Mallow Road in County Cork which under-declared VAT, PRSI, PAYE and relevant contracts totalling €1.9m.

They eventually had to fork out nearly €3.2m also including penalties and taxes.

Seven more of the hundred and fifty settlements are over a million euro including Monaghan solicitor Patrick Macklin who didn't declare income and had a bogus non resident account and has had to repay €2.2m.
