Substantial sum stolen from security van in Wexford
A substantial amount of money has been stolen during an armed raid on a security van in Co Wexford this morning.
Three masked men held up the vehicle in Gorey at around 10am while it was delivering cash to an ATM at a garage on the Dublin Road.
The raiders, at least one of whom was armed, fled the scene in the direction of Dublin in a black Volkswagen with 06-D registration plates.
No shots were fired during the incident and nobody was injured.
Gardaà are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
