Cork murder believed to be linked to drugs trade
Gardaí in Cork reportedly believe that the murder of a 34-year-old man near the village of Ballydesmond on Monday night was linked to his involvement in the drugs trade.
David Brett was found dead outside Foyle primary school.
He had been shot in the head.
Mr Brett was a known drug dealer from Togher in Cork city who had been living in Liscarroll , near Charleville, for a number of years with his wife and three children.
He was involved in a leading drugs gang in Cork and has served time in prison for possessing drugs with intent to supply.
