Huge fall in waiting times for operations - Report

The National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) says it has removed 75,000 patients from public waiting lists in the four years since it was established in 2002.

The body was set up by the Government to purchase private medical treatments for people who have been on public waiting lists for long periods of time.
