Poll predicts FF may lose two seats in Donegal

Fianna Fáil could be on the verge of losing two of its five Dáil seats in Donegal, according to an opinion poll out this morning.

The poll commissioned by the Donegal Democrat suggests that Niall Blaney, who only recently joined forces with the party, will get just 11% of first preferences.

This means his seat looks likely to go to Sinn Féin or Fine Gael.

In Donegal South West, meanwhile, Fianna Fáil Junior Minister Pat 'the Cope' Gallagher could also struggle to retain his seat with just 15% of the vote, behind fellow minister Mary Coughlan, Fine Gael's Dinny McGinley and Sinn Féin's Pearse Doherty.
