€1m worth of fake clothes seized

Around €1m worth of counterfeit clothing has been seized by gardaí, it was revealed tonight.

Two men were arrested in connection to the find, discovered by officers from Carlow/Kildare Division after the planned search of a business premises in Ballymount Industrial Estate

Items seized during the raid on Friday included tracksuits, jumpers, jeans and runners.

The men, one in his 20s and one in his 40s, were detained for questioning but have been released without charge.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
