A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the attempted murder trial of brothers Martin and Patrick McDonagh.

Martin (aged 31), of St Mary’s Park, Dunsink Lane Finglas, Dublin and Patrick McDonagh (aged 42), of St Joseph's Park, Dunsink, Dublin have pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Robert Gavin and Patrick Paul Gavin.

The trial before Mr Justice Paul Carney and a jury of nine men and three women will begin tomorrow and is expected to last until next week.
