SF to bus 100 activists to Dublin for Sands anniversary
Sinn Féin is bussing more than 100 activists from Belfast to Dublin today, to mark the 26th anniversary of the death of hunger striker Bobby Sands.
The party has "twinned" Belfast with Dublin and for the past nine months members have been making regular trips south working towards the General Election.
An essential part of Sinn Féin's long-term strategy is to be in power on both sides of the border.
Today, leading republicans and ex-prisoners, including Joe Cahill's widow Annie and Eibhlin Glenholmes, once dubbed Britain's most wanted woman, will be in Dublin.
