Road worker killed in accident
A road worker has died after being struck by a lorry in Coleraine this morning.
The truck collided with a stationary vehicle on the Sandelford Bridge at around 7.10am before it hit a man working on the carriageway.
He was a contractor working for Firmus Energy, an Antrim-based natural gas company.
He was the 38th person to die this year on roads in the North, one of four pedestrians.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
