Calls for 'grey issues' to be put on politicians' agenda
Age Action Ireland is urging politicians to consider issues affecting older people during the election campaign.
It says the provision of an adequate State pension is a must for the next government, if poverty among pensioners is to be eliminated.
One in five pensioners in Ireland is at risk of poverty with more than a third relying on the State's €200 pension to survive.
Robin Webster from Age Action Ireland said it's important to remember that older people have a vote they'll use on polling day.
