Recorded crimes down by just over 2%

The number of crimes recorded by the Gardaí has fallen by just over 2% in the past 12 months, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO says 2,300 fewer crimes were recorded in the year to the end of March this year, compared to the previous 12-month period.
