Further rises predicted as petrol prices hit €1.11

Motorists are being warned to expect further rises in the price of petrol following new figures showing that the average price has soared by 7.7% across the country since the start of the year.

The latest AA survey shows prices rose to €1.11 per litre in April, up from €1.06 in March and €1.03 in February.
