Jury sworn in on teen-rape case
A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a Wexford teenager accused of raping a schoolgirl almost three years ago.
The 18-year-old accused has pleaded not guilty to four charges of raping and sexually assaulting a then 14-yer-old girl on July 18, 2004.
He denies one count each of rape, oral rape, anal rape and sexual assault on the same occasion in a Co Wicklow town.
Mr Justice Paul Carney told the jury that the hearing of evidence would start on tomorrow.
