Gardaí seek witnesses to Galway stabbing and carjacking

Gardaí in Galway are appealing for witnesses to a stabbing and carjacking in the city over the Easter weekend.

A man was stabbed with a screwdriver while sitting in a car in the Corrib Park housing estate in Newcastle just after 5am on Sunday morning.

The victim's car was then stolen and driven in the direction of Quincentennial Bridge.

Gardai are looking for two men in connection with the incident.
