Five people are still being questioned by Gardai in connection with the fatal shooting of Paul Kelly in north Dublin on Friday night.

The 26-year-old, from Gardiner Street in the city, was shot dead shortly before midnight at a block of apartments on Charlemont Road in Clontarf.

It's believed that he had been visiting a family member when the attack took place.

It's not known how many times Mr Kelly was shot but Gardaí say six spent bullet cases were found at the scene.

The four men and a woman were arrested in follow up investigations and are being held at Clontarf, Raheny and Howth Garda stations.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
