Motorists warned to take care in heavy fog

Motorists are being warned of heavy fog in parts of the country.

The worst-affected areas include the M7 and N7 between Portlaoise and Naas, Athy and the N6 between Athlone and Ballinasloe.

Counties Offaly, Leitrim, Donegal, Wexford, Limerick, Meath, Westmeath, Roscommon and Kerry are also badly affected.
