The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors is calling for all armed gardaí to be allowed to carry stun guns.

The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors is calling for all armed gardaí to be allowed to carry stun guns.

Yesterday, the Cabinet approved plans to allow members of the Emergency Response Unit to carry the weapons, which use a high-voltage electric shock to incapacitate suspects.
