Agreement reached on Shannon Airport cost-cutting plan

Unions and management at Shannon Airport have reportedly reached agreement on a cost-cutting plan that had led to a threat of strike action at the Co Clare facility.

Unions overwhelmingly rejected a plan put forward in January seeking 200 voluntary redundancies among the airport's 550 workers.
