FG to encourage criminals to inform on gangland bosses

Fine Gael is proposing to tackle gangland crime in Ireland by setting up a new scheme to persuade criminals to inform on their bosses.

The party says the scheme will include greater use of witness protection programmes to prevent the intimidation of people who provide information about gangland activity.
