Hit-and-run kills woman in Donegal

A hit-and-run in County Donegal in which a woman was killed has brought the number of deaths on the county's roads to three in just a 2-hour period overnight.

Gardaí say a woman was killed when she was hit by a vehicle on the Newline Road in Letterkenny shortly before 4am.

The scene has been preserved and Gardaí at Letterkenny station are appealing for witnesses.
