Man dies in Donegal car crash

A man in his twenties has been killed in a car crash in county Donegal

Just one car was involved in the accident.

It happened just before noon on the N56 between Dunfanaghy and Creeslough.

Gardai have said the 1994 Honda Civic went out of control and struck a gate close to an old factory.

The front seat passenger, a man in his early twenties was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, also a man in his twenties, was rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital and his injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.

Gardai have said the stretch N56 between Dunfanaghy and Creeslough of the accident will remain closed until at least 6pm.
